Local Groups
Forming a group is extremely easy and if there is no group presently in your area (or if the local group is not cool enough for you) we would like you to form a group of your own. It does not take a lot of organizational skills or bravery, though it will probably help you to develop a bit of both, as well as leadership skills, confidence and general improvement of your social skills. Download the group development pack which contains everything you need to get started. (this pack will be generated soon!)
Forming a local group does not mean that you are going to be stuck with a lot of responsibility. Meetings can be run on a rotating chair system, or by someone who likes being in charge of meetings, or you can even try letting things be a free for all if you like. All you will need to do is choose a time and location for people to meet- book stores, coffee shops, pubs, bars, or even libraries will all welcome you. And you also ought to show up regularly to greet new members (and discuss books).
Or if being a ruthless dictator is your thing, you could try that out too. Let us know how that works out.
Please contact jason@newhermetics.com to form a local group if you do not see one in your area in the right sidebar.
