Book Selection

We study 12 books per year, based upon the 12 signs of the zodiac rather than the calendar months. The chosen book for the month is related in some way to that sign of the zodiac and is chosen by a vote amongst all members.

Although this arrangement is mostly meant to be a fun way of categorizing and planning the group studies, this structure also helps us to create a dynamic relationship with the hidden esoteric forces at play in the universe throughout the year.

Specific books are nominated by any local group leaders and given to the selection committee. Books must somehow, even very tangentially, be related to one of the above zodiac themes for the period under consideration. The nominators are advised to write a paragraph or two explaining how and why their book is related to the theme. The best of these nominations will then be submitted to an open vote amongst the full membership of the organization.
